Wrapped Cactus

An unusual still life between nature, light and materiality. Wrapped Cactus presents a cactus wrapped in transparent film and set against deep black.

The glossy surface of the film catches the light in countless reflections, creating a fragile second skin around the plant. The vivid green of the cactus stands in striking contrast to the dark surroundings.

Photographed in-camera by R.S. and not digitally created.

The high-quality C-type silver halide photographic print measures 45.7 × 30.5 cm and is presented in a transparent, subtly milky-white acrylic glass frame with metal fixings.

A contemporary photograph with a distinctive visual presence – created for the living room and spaces where art is meant to make its own statement.
