Petit Four II

Petit Four II presents an intimate still life of pastries and confectionery against a luminous white plate and deep black surroundings.

The contrast between the dark background and warm golden tones creates a quiet, almost theatrical composition. Carefully controlled light reveals the textures of the pastries while leaving the surrounding space deliberately undefined.

The image captures the tension between simplicity and indulgence — transforming an everyday dessert into a sophisticated contemporary still life.
