Anthurium

Anthurium transforms a tropical flower into a sculptural study of colour, light and shadow.

Deep red petals and vivid green leaves emerge from an almost black background, while a single pale spadix creates a striking organic counterpoint. The dramatic lighting isolates the flower from its surroundings, giving the composition an almost surreal presence.

The result is botanical photography stripped of decoration — sensual, graphic and intensely atmospheric.
